A lovely country villa with a characteristic central courtyard, surrounded by fields of horses and cows - great for exploring Lazio or heading into Rome. Property is very private and full of fabulous fruit trees, including lemons, apricots, walnuts, cherry, figs, persimmons, apples, olives - plus kiwi vines. A 10 minute walk - or 1 minute drive - to the center of town, Formello is a lovely little town with a medieval historic center and 'modern' center with all necessary stores/ restaurants. By car or commuter train you can reach the center of Rome in 30-45 minutes.
The kitchen is great for chefs or those who like to cook - complete with American size fridge/ freezer, two dishwashers, two stoves, plenty of marble counterspace. The house is furnished in a mix of modern/ shabby chic styles. It is also still undergoing renovation and has temporary doors on the rooms on the top floor (at least as of this posting) and 'old' parts and renovated ones. Details to come for those interested in the property, which is really lovely.
Outdoor barbecue and seating. At night Formello, where many Roman families traditionally passed their summers, can be cool, but during the day in the summer it's almost always golden Roman sunshine.
